What’s Loss, What’s Victory — When Fate is Not on Your Side, Nothing Truly Matters
What’s Loss, What’s Win – The Game of Fate
When fate is not on your side,
Every path feels empty and wide.
Even when you try with all your might,
Your dreams drift further out of sight.
The spark of hard work keeps burning,
But no wind comes to keep it turning.
Tall walls of the goal you seek,
Stand still, unmoved, week after week.
Many times, the lines in your hand,
Mock you, refusing to understand.
On fate’s unwritten page so bare,
Your name, it refuses to inscribe there.
But who says only destiny rules the game?
The one who soars gathers courage from the same.
Struggles and falls teach you life’s core,
If destiny shuts a door—effort opens more.
Sometimes loss, sometimes win,
Some days shade, some days within the sun’s skin.
Keep marching forward without retreat,
And shape your fate with steps concrete.
Don’t curse your fortune for being late,
Don’t let your spirit dissipate.
The destination comes to only that one,
Who walks and strives till the journey is done.
Life is a long race in which every person moves forward carrying their own dreams, hopes, and goals. Some wish for success, some for wealth, and some for respect. We work hard, struggle, and put all our strength towards our objectives. But many times, despite our effort and dedication, we do not get what we expect. In such moments, a question arises in our mind — What’s loss, what’s victory, when fate itself is not on our side?
It is often said that there is no weapon greater than hard work, but the truth is that without the support of fate, the fruit of hard work can remain incomplete. You may have noticed that some people achieve great success with minimal effort, while others keep working for years yet remain stuck in the same place. This difference is not only about hard work — it is also about fate.
We call fate our destiny — that invisible power which, along with time and circumstances, directs the course of our lives. If the right opportunity presents itself at the right time, a person can touch the sky. But if the timing is unfavorable, even the greatest talent can lose its shine. That is why, many times, in life, the difference between victory and defeat is decided not only by hard work, but also by fate.
However, this does not mean that one should rely solely on fate. The real game is in not losing courage even when fate is against you. We must understand that every failure teaches us a new lesson. The person who maintains effort, patience, and hope in adverse circumstances is the one who ultimately achieves true victory.
History stands witness to the fact that many great people failed repeatedly in their lives, yet instead of giving up, they kept moving forward. Sometimes time was against them, sometimes resources were lacking — but they created their own opportunities, and in the end, even fate stood by them.
So yes, it is true that without fate, many times hard work remains incomplete. But the right mindset is to realize that fate supports only those who keep trying consistently. Sitting idly, relying only on luck, or working hard but constantly blaming time — both approaches are incomplete.
Ultimately, in life, loss and victory are never permanent. If you lose today, you may win tomorrow; and if you win today, tomorrow the chance could belong to someone else. The only difference is — to knock on the door of fate, you must keep walking steadily on the path of effort. When hard work and fate come together, that is when true success is achieved.
